The technician is not permitted to share his knowledge with the patient or offer advice or counsel.

Patient privacy must be respected by a pharmacy technician. He cannot discuss patient information with anyone outside of the workplace.

The technician is prohibited from debating the merits of a given medication therapy or contrasting it with others.
